Chess for the Table
Chess has always been played at the table.
This space is dedicated to classical, tactile chess — wooden tables, boards, pieces, and mechanical clocks that create the right conditions for focus, concentration, and meaningful play.
Much of what you’ll find here is made in our small woodworking studio: solid chess table tops, handcrafted boards — including glued wood and resin constructions — and carefully finished surfaces designed to age beautifully with use.
Not everything here is made by ChessboArt alone. Some elements, such as traditional chess pieces, are selected to complement the whole. Each object is chosen for how it feels, how it sounds, and how it supports the experience of the game.

Chess Tables & Table Tops
Chess tables and table tops form the foundation of the playing space.
We design and build solid wooden chess table tops in our workshop — surfaces made for stability, comfort, and longevity. Whether placed on custom bases or existing furniture, they define the character of the game and the room around it.
These pieces are crafted with the same care as fine furniture: attention to grain, proportion, and finish — so the table becomes a natural centre of play, not just a support for the board.

Classic Chess Boards & Pieces
Classical chess boards and pieces remain essential to the game.
Here you’ll find traditional wooden boards and classic chess pieces selected to match the quality and atmosphere of our tables. While not all pieces are made in-house, each set is chosen for balance, recognisable form, and comfort in play.
These elements complete the experience — familiar, timeless, and honest.

Mechanical & Vintage Chess Clocks
Mechanical chess clocks have a presence of their own.
Their sound, weight, and rhythm shape the tempo of the game. For us, they are more than measuring devices — they carry history, craftsmanship, and a sense of continuity.
This selection focuses on wooden, mechanical, and vintage chess clocks — objects with character, often marked by time, and chosen for how naturally they belong on a chess table and in an interior.
This collection reflects a personal approach to chess.
As a chess player, I value the conditions in which the game is played — the surface of the table, the weight of the pieces, and the quiet ticking of a mechanical clock. These details shape concentration, patience, and respect for the game.
ChessboArt is not built around volume. You will not find hundreds of products here. Instead, this is a carefully assembled selection — mostly crafted in our workshop, and complemented by objects chosen for their integrity and fit.
The goal is simple: to create a table where chess feels right.
