The base is our flagship ChessboArt800 model — a fully playable, wall-mounted chess board built around a 2,000-magnet internal system that keeps every piece upright, plumb and perfectly centred at any angle.
This particular board is crafted from heartwood ash (jesion twardzielowy) — a wood celebrated for its dramatic, high-contrast grain that makes each board a completely unrepeatable object. The figuring on this specimen is exceptionally pronounced: bold, sweeping lines run the full length of the board, giving it an almost graphic, architectural quality rarely seen in chess furniture.
No two cuts of heartwood ash look alike. This board will never be reproduced.
All autographs were personally collected by the maker, FM Michał Fudalej, in May 2026 inside the players' room at the Grand Chess Tour — Super Rapid & Blitz Poland 2026, held at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw — a restricted space accessible only to players, coaches and accredited staff.
